The Inventor Assistance
Program (IAP) is now available to inventors in South Dakota. This program
provides legal assistance to low-income inventors and nonprofits. The
LegalCORPS IAP, supported by the United States Patent and Trademark Office,
matches eligible inventors with experienced patent attorneys who provide
assistance at no charge. Financial guidelines for this program stipulate that
an inventor’s household income must be 300% or less of the federal poverty
level.
The Devereaux Library is the
only United States Patent and Trademark Resources Center in the state of South
Dakota. We will be happy to connect you with this service and the many other
resources of the federal Patent and Trademark Office.
