On this day in 1968, Apollo 8 astronauts Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders orbited the moon. During this time the crew made a Christmas Eve television broadcast, reading the first 10 verses from the book of Genesis. At the time, the broadcast was the most watched television program ever.
