New IEEE competition, early registration opens on September 1, 2008: The IEEE Presidents’ Change the World Competition is your chance to show the world how you’ve made a difference in your local community or on a grander scale. The IEEE Presidents’ Change the World Competition recognizes students who develop unique solutions to real-world problems using engineering, science, computing and leadership skills to benefit their community or humanity. Tell us how you have made a positive impact in the world and you could win US$10,000 plus a free trip to the 2009 IEEE Honors Ceremony in Los Angeles, California, USA.
If you are a student and at least 18 years of age—then this is the competition for you. You can compete as an individual or a team, but there must be at least one IEEE Student Member on the team at the time of entry. Teams are not limited to the same country or region, but can be a global collaborative group. Don’t forget to register early and let us know you are working on a project!
