SDLN has advised us that the library database http://apollo.sdln.net has a problem which is expected to result in downtime this afternoon and evening. They hope to have everything back up by tomorrow sometime. In the meantime http://www.worldcat.org/ may serve as a partial substitute for the online catalog. The reference and journal databases at http://library.sdsmt.edu/atthelibrary.htm should continue to be available for on campus users. Databases that are normally available on and off campus http://library.sdsmt.edu/247.htm will be available on campus only. SciFinder is a research discovery tool that allows you to explore the CAS databases that contain literature from many scientific disciplines, including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, agricultural science, and more! You can explore one single source for scientific information in journal and patent literature from around the world. CAS has implemented a web based interface. To use this interface you must create an account. You need to be on campus, and need to use a campus (.sdsmt.edu or mines.sdsmt.edu) email account to register. The old windows or Mac based client you have been using will no longer be supported.
